Chrystal Staples taught my son from beginning until he graduated high school. The time he spent with her inspired him to become an extremely accomplished clarinet player. He was the top clarinetist throughout all his years of playing in school, and was the co-principle clarinetist in the Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestra. I was one of Mrs. Staples’ students for almost a decade, and she not only helped me become the musician I am today, but also the person I am today. She gave me the knowledge and training on my instrument to excel into collegiate and pre-professional musical academia. She also taught me valuable lessons as I grew up in her studio which have helped me accomplish so much more outside of my music. Mrs. Staples is also my main inspiration for pursuing music education at Louisiana State University, because of how impactful and positive her instruction was to me. For so many years throughout middle and high school, going to her private lessons were the highlight of my week.

Thanks to Kent Staples, I have become more confident in my trumpet playing. The lessons are top-notch, and I feel supported every step of the way. I enjoy performing with my high school concert and jazz bands, and have earned several awards for my performances. It has really brought an enjoyable focus to my education!

Chrystal and Kent Staples have taught our daughters to play instruments both individually and in a school band, and they go beyond what anyone would ever expect from an instructor. They pour their hearts into their students and have given our girls a love for making music which we have truly enjoyed being a part of. The opportunities that they give the children to perform and gain confidence are unmatched by anyone else we have seen.
