Former Clarinet Student
Chrystal Staples taught my son from beginning until he graduated high school. The time he spent with her inspired him to become an extremely accomplished clarinet player. He was the top clarinetist throughout all his years of playing in school, and was the co-principle clarinetist in the Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestra. He even won Clarinetist of the Year with the London Young Musician competition! - Komal Relan (Parent)
Former Flute Student
I was one of Mrs. Staples’ students for almost a decade, and she not only helped me become the musician I am today, but also the person I am today. She gave me the knowledge and training on my instrument to excel into collegiate and pre-professional musical academia. She also taught me valuable lessons as I grew up in her studio which have helped me accomplish so much more outside of my music. Mrs. Staples is also my main inspiration for pursuing music education at Louisiana State University, because of how impactful and positive her instruction was to me. For so many years throughout middle and high school, going to her private lessons were the highlight of my week.
Trumpet Student
Thanks to Kent Staples, I have become more confident in my trumpet playing. The lessons are top-notch, and I feel supported every step of the way. I enjoy performing with my high school concert and jazz bands, and have earned several awards for my performances. It has really brought an enjoyable focus to my education!
Euphonium Student
Chrystal and Kent Staples have taught our daughters to play instruments both individually and in a school band, and they go beyond what anyone would ever expect from an instructor. They pour their hearts into their students and have given our girls a love for making music which we have truly enjoyed being a part of. The opportunities that they give the children to perform and gain confidence are unmatched by anyone else we have seen. It clearly brings so much joy to them seeing their students learning, growing and trying new things. We do not believe there is anyone else out there better equipped to teach music to our children. - Kristin Humphrey (Parent)
Clarinet Student
Our daughter, Claire, has been taking private clarinet lessons with Mrs. Staples for 3 years. Mrs. Staples is an encouraging and loving teacher who has fostered our daughter’s love of music. Mrs. Staples has also strengthened our daughter’s musical confidence through Claire’s private lessons and participation in recitals and competitions. In our opinion, Mrs. Staples is a 5 out of 5 stars. - Bill and Brenda Schilling (Parents)
Flute & Percussion Students
Mrs. Staples makes learning music fun. She strengthens our kids' love of music, and we now enjoy beautiful live music at home daily! - Rajeeb Das & Sher-Lu Pai (Parents)
